Flexographic

We can print up to 9 colours on foil between 12 and 100µ, polyester film from 12µ, other films from 30µ, and almost any packaging laminate.

Reverse printing (“buried” or “sandwiched”) is a specialty we can print two colours on the bottom side of a web, in register with the top side.

Our print quality is outstanding and among the best available in flexible packaging.

We can print up to three colours in gravure (more, subject to enquiry)

Roto Gravure 4 colour printing.
Actual print quality limited mostly by cylinder quality and origination.
Sherman corona discharge surface treatment is available e.g. on hard foil and films.
Used mainly for overall laquering using a dry application weight of 1 – 1.5g/m2.

2 colour reverse side to register, good drying, web viewing, very good tension control system.
A first class flexo printer equipped to run only foil and paper; not yet adapted to handle unsupported under 20µ film printing.
Features web guide, splicing table, hydraulic roll lift, variable IR drying coupled with blowers with ducting control, electrical hoist & BST Promark web viewing system.
Also features ICT® (instant change technology) workflow to increase productivity.
Currently running only foil conversion jobs.

Specialized flexo plate mounter for very high accuracy plate mounting.
“Tinting” roll cutter/mounter. This enables any width allover colours/varnishes to be set up easily and without joins.
Corona surface treatment equipment – allows foil to be corona treated for the promotion of superior coating and ink adhesion.

9 colour flexographic printing press.
Pressurized doctor blade system, and the latest available tension technology incorporated.
No reverse side printing.
UV varnishing and laminating station (9th print station) allowing limited film over-laminating.
Improved drying. Quicker changeover ability.
Chill roll bypassing facility for lighter gauges of foil and film.
Special equipment for hard foil, as well as in-line corona pre-treatment.
